our population grows in Eldersburg, so does our number of talented
musicians working their way into the music scene. Here is a partial
list of the acts Eldersburg has to offer. If you are in or know
of an Eldersburg-based band we don't have listed here, please send

Kim
Liberto
Blues / folk / experimental / Christian
Bio: Kim Liberto is a hometown girl whose music career has taken
off over the past years. Liberto has released her CD “Yellow
Brick Road” which has achieved some success. She performed
for the release of this album at Wesley Freedom Church right
here in Eldersburg. Liberto has performed at a variety of places,
ranging from ministering at West Virginia University to performing
for New Life for Girl’s home in Westminster.

Russ
Reitter
Rock / Funk / Christian
Bio: A Liberty High School senior in the class of 2007, Russ
Reiter has made his name known through a number of performances
in local performances. He recorded his own album in his junior
year of high school, entitled “Instrument”. Reitter’s
performances are lively and entertaining. Matt Pukach, drummer
of Foretold, describes Reitter as “a funny guy”
who is “so much fun to watch”.

Foretold
Alternative / Metal
Bio: Recently up to five members with the addition of former
Hitmatter guitarist Mike Kane, Foretold has increasingly made
a name for themselves both in Eldersburg and in Baltimore. The
band includes lead singer Andrew Dugan, guitarists Eric Pindell
and Kane, bass player Aaron Patz, and drummer Matt Pukach. Their
influences come from bands like Tool and Stone Temple Pilots.
The band has experienced a variety of changes since Patz started
the band back in 2003; they have been through 3 drummers, making
Pukach the fourth.

Fourth
Element
Alternative / Rock
Bio: Fourth Element is a successful group who has played with
bands such as Jimmy’s Chicken Shack (who hailed from Annapolis).
These musicians are straight out of Eldersburg, having attended
high school at Liberty. 4E, as they are sometimes known, has
been broadcasted on local stations 98 Rock and DC101. The band
lost guitarist Jordan August back in November, but is still
proceeding with their music.

The Harlequins!
Pop / Happy Hardcore
Bio: A group of local boys who simply love to play and entertain.
Five members make up the band, with one temporary bassist as
well. The Harlequins! frequently play with other local bands,
such as Woodbine Hotline.

The Mantis Greenhouse
Grindcore / Fusion / Ska
Bio: An up and coming hardcore band comprised of four members
who have a unique, unconventional style. Hardcore jamming and
screaming are trademarks of their style.

Upon
The Rise
Alternative / Rock
Bio: Comprised of a few Century High School students, Upon The
Rise is new to the music business. Four students make up the
band, which started two years ago. Upon The Rise has played
at a few local events and talent shows.

| Woodbine
Hotline
Indie / Rock
Bio: Local students formed a band named after the Woodbine
area. Plays music locally and will be performing in June at
JAMS Music Store. Members include Paul O’Sullivan, John
Gamble, Tony Priola, and Benn Breeden, many of who have been
in several bands together previously. Some of the members
have had the honor of playing at venues such as the Recher
Theater and Fletcher's.
