Piney Run Park at 1:00 p.m. - Spend the afternoon crafting and decorating two dried gourds with leather dye, paints and a wood burner. It is recommended that your wear clothes that can get messy. The workshop lasts for four hours. Cost: $28 per person.

Eldersburg Library at 9:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. - Join Little Red Hen for some fun in the kitchen. On the menu? Pizza. Registration, which begins June 29, is required to attend.

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the SCBA will be hosting an after hours get-together at Transitions Health Care at 4:00 p.m. The facility is located at 7309 Second Avenue in Sykesville. The event will last for about two hours.

Join the SCBA for their monthly luncheon at Salerno’s in Eldersburg. The price is $12 for SCBA members and $15 for guests. Salerno’s is located at 1043 Liberty Road
in Eldersburg. The event begins at 12 p.m. and lasts until about 1:30 p.m.

Walk with Dave Harvey of the Carroll County Ornithological Society and learn about the various winged inhabitants of Piney Run and the surrounding Eldersburg area. Walks are in rain or shine, and binoculars are recommended. Cost: $5 per person. Ages 10-adult

The monthly FACC meeting at the South Carroll Senior Center located at 5645 Bartholow Rd. While the speakers have not been confirmed, FACC President Ellen Dix said at the last FACC meeting that representatives from local Eldersburg newspapers might be invited to attend. Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.

The Freedom District Lions Club hosts bingo night at the Sykesville / Freedom Fire Hall every third Friday per month. The event lasts until 11 p.m.
