Eldersburg
held its 3rd Annual Diversity Celebration this past Saturday at
Piney Run Park. The event is held to bring attention to the diverse
nature of Eldersburg's population and to cherish the differences.
Event organizer Jenny williams explained that it is the one chance
each year to see all the different types of people in Eldersburg
in one place: "It's incredible - we've got people of all heights,
ages, weights, and hair color! What's amazing is how well everyone
gets along despite their differences. You would never guess that
all these different people live right here in Eldersburg, but they
do." Everyone turned out to feast on diverse cuisines - barbeque
chicken, roasted chicken, fried chicken, and many more too numerous
to name.
