Small Business Center Kicks off Unique Business Training and Services

 The
Entrepreneur Factory, an Eldersburg-based provider of business training
and services, held its Grand Opening on Tuesday, May 24, from 4
p.m. to 6 p.m. at its building on Klees Mill Road. The event, held
in conjunction with the South Carroll Business Association’s
After Hours Networking Event, had a large turnout and was full of
speakers and activities. Highlights of the event were speeches by
Entrepreneur Factory president Doug Howard, SCBA president Joan
Raznick, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce president Bonnie Grady,
and South Carroll Delegate Sue Krebs. Other activites included a
ribbon-cutting ceremony, drawings, and a special networking skills
presentation by sales trainer Mike Manion.
The Entrepreneur Factory was established to provide small businesses
a place where they can get specialized training to help them grown
their business, monthly business events, and personalized consulting.
Training classes and workshops cover accounting, taxes, marketing,
human resources, and small business technology. In addition to its
own exclusive training classes, the Entrepreneur Factory works in
conjunction with Carroll Community College and Advantage Internet
Marketing to offer even more classes, both at their own location
and at the partnering locations. Events include business book club
discussions, roundtable discussions, guest speakers, and networking
events. The Entrepreneur Factory also provides business support
services, including meeting facilities, a training room, office
equipment use, and billing and accounts payable services.
The facility has been established by BDG Entrepreneurial Services,
which provides payroll processing, accounting, tax services, bookkeeping,
and QuickBooks assistance to small businesses.
