In the upcoming weeks, the South Carroll Business Association and the Freedom Area Citizens Council will be hosting candidate forums in preparation for the upcoming Primary Election on September 14.
The South Carroll Business Association’s forum will be held on September 2 at the Athen’s Gym (6000 Emerald Lane, Sykesville) from 7-9 pm. The main focus of the forum will be business-related issues. The first hour will be a forum for candidates running for county commissioner in District 5, and the second hour will be for those running for state delegate in District 9B or state senator in District 9.
The Freedom Area Citizens Council’s forum will be held on September 9 at the Eldersburg Public Library from 7-9 pm. Candidates running for commissioner in District 5 and state delegate in District 9B have been invited.
