Carrolltown Center is about to get a new breath of life in the form of some new shopping tenants. The shopping center has been with many vacant stores and has had redevelopment plans in limbo for years.

Andrea Freeman, owner of Andies Candies, is opening a 2,500 square foot store at the mall adjacent to Kmart. The store, known as The Shoppes at Carrolltown, will feature Andies Candies and Collectibles as well as fourteen other craft and unique merchandise vendors, including Polish Pottery, Mische Bags, and more. The vendors are set to be in place by October 15.

Andies Candies is owned by Andrea Freedman, who has succeeded in her own business despite a developmental disability.  Andies Candies was first set up as a cart within Carrolltown Center when the inside of the mall was still open.
