Recent Eldersburg Business News, Events, Updates

• Mercer’s Carpet One location in Eldersburg has recently closed while they build a new showroom for customers.  According to their website “This is so we can focus our attention on the construction of our new Eldersburg/Sykesville Flooring Design Showroom.” Their previous location, at 1438 Liberty Road, behind K Bank has closed.  No word on when their new location will open.
• The South Carroll Business Association (SCBA) will be holding the South Carroll Community Showcase in March 2011, with local businesses, family fun, entertainment, giveaways, and more. Read more.
• The SCBA recently elected a new board of directors and officers for 2011. 
• A new restaurant – the County Cork Wine and Pub has opened next to Radio Shack in the old Luna Rossa location.  The restaurant offers a modern cuisine.
• Quizno’s sub shop, located in the Princess Shopping Center closed without warning two weeks ago
• Carroll Station Signs Three New Tenants – The strip center across from Carrolltowne Center recently added Athletic House, All About You Hair Salon, and the County Cork Wine and Pub, bringing the center to full occupancy.
• Tim Dulany, long-time RE/MAX Advantage Realty agent, has moved his real estate services to Weichert Realty, Property Concepts, newly located at 1532 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784, next to the Little Professor book store.
• Goodwill opened a 10,000 square foot store in December, next to Walmart.
