Carrolltowne Elementary students prepare to run in support of their PTA

Carrolltowne Elementary School students are prepping for a day of fun, sun and running in support of their local Parent Teacher Association.

The school will hold its 16th annual Fun Run on Thursday, Oct. 15, with a rain date scheduled for Oct. 20. Students will spend part of their day doing laps around the school’s fields in order to raise money for the elementary schools PTA. Similar to other fundraising runs, Carrolltowne students gathered pledges from family and friends.

“On Thursday they will fulfill those pledges by running, walking, or skipping their way around the fields,” the school said in a release.

And what is a running fund raising event without some energizing music to jam to, courtesy of Carrolltowne’s physical education staff?

“Students, staff and parents are pumped up for this fun fundraiser that gets students moving!” the release mentioned.
