On August 17, members of the Piney Run Park Nature Center were invited an appreciation picnic, where they were thanked for time volunteered and money contributed.

The picnic included barbequed food, kayak trips around the lake, updates on Nature Center happenings, and time for socializing with other members. Newly hired park naturalist Ben Porter attended to greet and get familiar with attending members.

If you’re interested in becoming a Piney Run Nature Center member, visit the Nature Center Wednesday through Saturday from 11am – 5pm, or on Sunday from noon – 5pm.
