Carroll County Bureau of Utilities is announcing routine flushing of fire hydrants in the Northeast section of the Freedom District, Eldersburg, MD. Areas of flushing will include subdivisions from Pine Knob Road to Liberty Road and from Sykesville Road to Mineral Hill Road.
Flushing will take place Monday through Friday, starting Monday April 11th through Friday April 29th between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm each weekday.
Residents may experience minimum loss of pressure and cloudy water lasting up to an hour when the hydrant is flushed in the immediate area. Turning the tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. It is advisable to refrain from using high water volume appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, etc., during the periods of low pressure and cloudy water.
Citizen cooperation, during this necessary routine flushing of lines, will be appreciated.
