On Tuesday, July 19th the Bureau of Utilities will temporarily shut down water service
to approximately 45 homes in the Eldersburg area to install two new water main valves on Piney Ridge Drive.
Service will be shut down at 8 am and will be off until approximately 2 pm or until repairs are complete. Areas affected include all homes on Balsam Lane, Black Spruce Lane, Sitka Spruce Lane and part of Piney Ridge Drive. Residents are advised to store an ample supply of fresh water to last throughout the day. Homeowners may experience cloudy water or air in the lines after service has been restored. Turning the tap on and running water for several minutes will clear the lines. It is advisable to refrain from doing laundry until the following day when water should be clear.
For more information, please contact the Bureau of Utilities at 410-386-2164.
