On Monday night, an apparently opportunistic thief got away with some cash in Eldersburg.

Around 8 pm, a customer in the Sunoco at the corner of Liberty Road and Georgetown Boulevard was collecting his proceeds from a winning lottery ticket, and someone nearby snatched the money and ran.
