Brentyn Finn, a Westminster man charged with robbing Eldersburg’s Susquehanna Bank in February, was sentenced to twenty years in prison. He was found guilty of one charge of armed robbery. Under a plea deal with prosecutors, Finn pleaded not guilty but agreed not to challenge the prosecution’s evidence. Judge Michael M. Galloway of the Carroll County Circuit Court suspended all but four years of Finn’s twenty-year sentence.
In February, Finn entered the Susquehanna Bank in Eldersburg and passed the teller a note stating that he had a gun. Police tracked his footprints to a nearby residence, where he was found with the same amount of money that was stolen from the bank. Police noted that he was not armed, as the note claimed.
