Freedom
Fitness helps to fight hunger through exercise
December
8, 2009
Eric Villard
The
Freedom Area Recreation
Council’s Freedom Fitness will hold a beginner’s
ZUMBA class Jan. 8 to help
fight hunger in Carroll County.
For a $5 donation to Carroll County Foods, interested parties can
join with instructor and coordinator Tracy
Cox from 7 to 8 p.m. that Sunday at Freedom Fitness’ studio,
located next to Kmart inside of Carrolltown Mall. Tracy Cox has
over 12 years of experience with fitness classes.
ZUMBA
is a dance-inspired group fitness class that uses Latin rhythms
and easily followed moves to create a dynamic but easily learned
workout. The routine mixes fast and slow rhythms to help tone and
burn fat.
"This
is a chance to nourish your body with ZUMBA, and feed the hungry
in our community," said Cox in a release. "It is a win-win
for all."
The
ZUMBA class is open to anyone wishing to participate. To register,
either call Tracy Cox at 410-795-9101 or email her at cox@freedomfitness.info.
