The Freedom Fighters Youth Rugby club will be hosting the 2009 Potomac Rugby Union Youth League Maryland / DC championship tournament this Saturday and Sunday at Freedom Park. This is the second consecutive year that the tournament has come to Sykesville. Due to the success of the event and venue last year, the Freedom Fighters were asked to repeat as host. This was the first time in the history of the League that this has happened!

Last year over 48 teams from Maryland and DC participated. This year even more are expected. The U-9 and U-11 tournament takes place on Saturday, August 1st beginning at 9am.

The U-13 and U-15 tournament takes place on Sunday. Come down for a great day of youth rugby. Food, drinks and snowballs will be available for purchase on both days, and BallsOut Rugby will be on hand with shirts, jerseys and equipment.
