District Lions Press Release
The Freedom District Lions held their regular meeting at Messiah Lutheran Church on August 26, 2009. The Lions were honored to have District Governor Robert Disinger of the Mt. Airy Lions Club as their guest. DG Disinger spoke on the membership needs of all of the clubs and many topics of interest on the District and International level of Lionism. After his speech, DG Disinger inducted into the Freedom District Lions our newest member, Marcel Van Rossum. The Lions also welcomed Lion President Charlie Miles from the Ahwatukee Lions Club in Phoenix, Arizona. Lion Miles was visiting the area and noticed that the Freedom Lions President Carl Livesay was a friend from high school and stopped by to renew acquaintances.

August 22nd the Freedom District Lions and the Freedom District
Lioness held their annual double basket bingo. Once again the support
of the public for this fund raiser was tremendous. The Lions and
Lioness thank all who attended.
