Liberty High School’s Class of 2006 Commences Life after High School

On Wednesday, June 7, 2006, the first graduating class of 2006 in Carroll County walked the stage. The Board of Education awarded 388 seniors in Liberty High School’s class a diploma, marking the first time in several years that every senior graduated.

The ceremony lasted a brief two hours, with speeches from Principal Florence Oliver, Assistant Principal Dwayne Piper, teacher Kevin Giffhorn, and student speakers Dan Brown (valedictorian) and Andrea Dragan.

After the tassels were turned and the hats tossed, graduates filtered out of McDaniel College’s main gymnasium to find their family and friends and celebrate their thirteen years of accomplishments.
