Noise Variance Request - Liberty High School Marching Band

April 16, 2008-
During this year’s session of the General Assembly, House Bill 787 was passed, which exempts public schools in Carroll County from local noise ordinances, rules, and controls between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. The bill was signed into law by Governor O’Malley on Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Therefore, the variance to Chapter 146, Noise, of the Code of Public Local Laws and Ordinances requested by the Carroll County Board of Education regarding the band practice sessions at Liberty High School, 5855 Bartholow Road, Eldersburg, has been withdrawn. Copies of House Bill 787 and the variance application are available through the Department of the County Attorney, 225 North Center Street, Westminster, 21157, phone 410-386-2030.
