Liberty High School Marching Band Wins Chapter V Championship
November 5 , 2007



Liberty’s High Schools Marching Band won the Chapter V Championships on Saturday November 3rd on their home field. With a score of 91.45 they took first place over five other Group I bands. Liberty also received the awards for Best Drum Major, Best Percussion, High Music, High Visual, and Best Auxiliary. Their next step is the Atlantic Coast Championships which will be held next Saturday, November 10th in Dover, Delaware.

Liberty’s Percussion swept the band season winning Best Percussion at all seven competitions in which they participated. This was an amazing year for the marching band. Not since 1999, have they had this spectacular of a season. In the seven shows they performed, they came away with five 1st Place trophies, two 2nd Place trophies, seven Best Percussion awards, four Best Auxiliary awards and Jen Rosso won the three Best Drum Major awards that were given.

Liberty’s Instrumental Music Boosters will be sponsoring a Craft Fair on November 17th at Liberty High School. The cost is $2 at the door. No strollers will be permitted.
