Recognize Outstanding Achievement

On
Wednesday the Freedom District Lions recognized five members of
the community with their highest honor, the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
Most unusual is that two of the honorees are not members of the
Lions Club.
John
Sotak is the Manager of the Safeway Store in Eldersburg. Sotak was
honored for his support and the support of his team in community
activities. Betty Jean Maus was honored for over 50 years of working
and volunteering at Springfield State Hospital. Lion George Martin,
Lion John Dozsa, and Lion Charles Jones were honored for the years
of service and support to the Freedom District Lions and their community.
The
Freedom District Lions installed their officers for the Lions Club
and the Leo Club from Century High School. The Leo’s are a
community service organization.
The
