Robberies Plague Eldersburg
February 26, 2010
Two unrelated robberies happened this past Tuesday in Eldersburg, raising concerns that crime is starting to happen on an increasing basis in town.
Susquehanna Bank Robbery
On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, an individual walked into the Ridge Road branch of Susquehanna and indicated that he was armed. The male suspect then demanded money and proceeded to flee the scence, but not before being spotted by a witness. Across the street, Carrolltowne Elementary school was notified and then put on lockdown.
Because of help from the witness, the police were soon able to track down the suspect hiding under a children's pool and made an arrest.
Exxon Gas Station Robbery
The same evening, the Exxon gas station at the corner of Liberty Road and Rt. 32 was robbed by a hooded suspect, who then ran off in a red pickup truck, heading East.

We will provide updates as they become available.
