Open House Kicks Off Sykesville Fire Department's Fire Prevention Month Activities

According to a press release from the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department:

The Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department will host its annual Fire Prevention Open House, Sunday October 7, from 12:00 - 4:00 pm.

The public is invited to enjoy fire engine rides, a "Sesame Street" fire prevention puppet show, and tours of the fire station.

There will be live auto extrication and vehicle fire demonstrations. Some of our newest equipment will be on display, including our new Engine 124 and all-terrain rescue ATV.

The Open House is part of the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department's fire prevention program, which has been recognized as one of the best in the state of Maryland. Each year, Fire Prevention Lieutenant Christine Flanagan enthusiastically presents her unique and exciting message to thousands of school children and daycare centers in the Sykesville and Eldersburg area.
