Youth
Rugby Results Saturday, July 1st marked the last Saturday home match of the season for the Freedom Fighters. Matches were hard fought, but Freedom came out on the short end of the U-15 matches (U-11 scores were not available at this time). In
the first match, Freedom lost to the West Carroll Marauders 29-
14. In the 2nd match of the day, Freedom narrowly lost, again to West Carroll, 29-20. Scoring tries were Raleigh Linville (2), Nathan Cromer and Ryan Baker Freedom then took on an experienced Cape St. Clair Team losing those matches 41-7 and 36-15. Tries were recorded by Ryan Baker (2), Dylan Mark, and Alex Czaus. Stacey Boyer and Alex Czaus added an assist each and Dylan Marks capped off his day with another conversion kick. The U-17 side travelled to South Bowie to take on the South Bowie Sharks and the Frederick Freedom lost to South Bowie by a score of 38 to 24. Tries were awarded to newcomer Ben Weber (2), Seth Blazuki and Justin Elswick, with Kenny Boyd adding 2 conversion kicks. The second match went Freedom's way with the Fighters besting Frederick 38 to 33. Tries were awarded to Ben Weber (2), Stewart Davis, Justin Elswick, Seth Blazuki and Jake Zorner. Ben Weber (3) and Alan Kratz added conversions after the tries. This week marks a travel week again as the U-11 sides travel to Silver Spring, the U-15's split between West Carroll and Washington, DC, and the U-17's travel to Washington as well.
