Vacation
in the sunny southern part of the continent comes to mind when one
enters La Fiesta, one of the Eldersburg’s Mexican restaurants.
La Fiesta is located in the Princess Shopping Center on Route 26
in Eldersburg. The restaurant occupies a perfect spot, next to other
popular town’s eateries and shops, providing a convenient
place to park your car and accomplish several tasks at once. There
is even a bowling alley in the same shopping center where the whole
family can work off the calories gained from eating at La Fiesta.
Colorful, cheerful, and vibrant are the adjectives that come to
mind of someone just entering La Fiesta. The walls are painted dazzling
purple, yellow, and green here, and decorated with even more colorful
authentic Mexican pieces, like sombrero hats or sun shaped pottery
wall hangings.
La Fiesta is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturdays and
Sundays it is open even longer, starting with breakfast at 8 a.m.
These hours let everyone enjoy the fine Mexican cuisine offered
here at the most convenient time. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed,
and joyful. Delicious hot food, lively Mexican music, and the vivid
colors will cheer up any hungry newcomer. La Fiesta is just the
place to visit on a cold winter evening or a steamy summer night.
Every person in your party, from the small child to the mature sophisticated
adult will find something they like on the menu. The choices are
extensive and varied, from the mouth-watering crab and guacamole
dips as appetizers to Chile Relleno for dinner. Dinner drinks as
well, can be simple, like a carafe of Sangria, or complex, like
peach or strawberry margarita. Margaritas are smooth, and perfectly
balanced between the sweetness of fruit, the coolness of ice, and
the warm jolt of the alcohol in them.
As you come inside La Fiesta, you are immediately greeted
at the door and promptly seated at the table of your choice; within
reason, of course. Complimentary hot chips accompanied by a moderately
spicy cilantro salsa are served immediately. Drinks follow as you
look at the menu to select your appetizers, soups, salads, and/or
entrées. One of the most unusual, but lovely and flavorful
soups offered her is Spinach Soup. Served with a warm tortilla and
a bit of the Mexican cheese, it provides a nice opening to the rest
of the scrumptious feast coming up. Burritos, enchiladas, tacos,
chimichangas, and fajitas galore can satisfy any authentic Mexican
food enthusiast. We recommend the seafood chimichanga for its sweet
and savory sauce which brings out the flavor of shrimp, crabs, and
scallops like no other. Children’s menu is quite traditional
featuring everything that is “tried and true”: Chicken
Nuggets, Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs, etc. In addition, you can order
an Enchilada with Rice for your little connoisseur. Any children’s
entrée costs $4.50, not too bad…
Other prices are very reasonable as well. Most appetizers cost around
$7 or $8, but you can enjoy a “half order”, which is
rather convenient for everyone saving himself/herself for the main
course. Entrees vary in price and can be as inexpensive as $8.95
for Chile Relleno or a Taco Salad, or a bit more for other types
of main courses. The most expensive item on the menu, when it comes
to entrees is Sea Scallops or Swordfish Fajita at $16.25 per order.
Most entrees are priced in between, and every one of them is definitely
worth the value assigned to it.
You won’t believe the desserts. Do you like Fried Ice Cream?
They’ve got it! Do you like Choco Tacos? They’ve got
them too! Other Mexican desserts are on the menu as well, affordable,
sugary, and perfect to top your meal with.
So, what are you waiting for? Go to La Fiesta to dine out or to
carry out!!! Contact them at 410-795-3188, or go online to www.lafiestafood.com

What
others are saying about LaFiesta:
> 10/17/2006 You call this "authentic mexican food?" Ugh is what I call it. No flavor in the rice or beans. No pico de gallo sauce. Food is way salty. If you think this was authentic, then you obviously never had anything homemade by a true south of the border chef. I may not be mexican, but I know a whole lot of em and their food tastes a whole lot better than this stuff.
> I have gotten better meals from 7-11. The food was not authentic, service was horrible. I will not go back.
> I believe this is one of the worst, americanized/cheap copy/parody "Mexican" restaurants I have ever seen and unfortunately tasted in my life. Authentic Mexican cuisine is not only tacos and enchiladas, authentic Mexican cuisine is tradition and flavor, two things this "restaurante" does not have. There's no difference between Taco Bell and this place. Just another distorted idea I guess.
> Have had much better spanish/mex food. Probably won't be going back.
> When the craving for Mexican arises, LaFiesta is sure to please. After multiple visits to their Eldersburg establishment, I have consistantly received authentic south of the border cuisine. Fun friendly environment, makes for a great family night out.
> I've never had less than great fresh food here! The service is quick and efficient. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine.

> I have to say that was the worst Mexican or Tex-Mex or Spanish meal I have had.
Thanks,
Heather
> Great Mex!
