Surprise
someone special. If you like great food, this is the place to go
in Eldersburg. Definitely the place for dinner.
Located
next to C & L Cycle in what is arguably the worst retail location
on Liberty Road, Marina Cuisina is well worth the search. It was
like finding a diamond in a coalmine. It doesn’t happen often
but when it does, the gem is a beauty.
The
menu is plentiful, with an emphasis on seafood dishes. The help
is exceptionally polite and professional. The owner is on the premises
and she is the primary Chef.
Want
something exceptional, tired of pre-prepared chain restaurants?
Stop in and relax, enjoy a robust gourmet wine selection followed
by a surprising menu selection that is significantly better than
expected.
Marina
Cuisina could be the best-kept secret in Eldersburg. The building
exterior is poorly maintained and parking is cramped but the food
and service are worth. I recommend visiting now because when the
word gets out, you will likely need reservations several days in
advance. And if the location moves to an easier to place to find,
watch out.
We
entered promptly at 5:00 on a Friday when the doors opened. We were
promptly greeted by Christin in a formal wait staff uniform. Christin
escorted us to our seat. Seating was comfortable yet simple. The
dining area was decorated casual but nice with an ocean them. Service
was superior. If we were use one word to describe our server, it
would exemplary. Drinks never emptied, dishes promptly cleared,
always attentive never bothersome. Frankly her timing was impressive.
The
dining area was clean, dishes were plain however, and they made
for a nice canvas for the dinner presentation. Nicely done. Every
dish was “presented”.
Portions
are comfortably large. Dinner was preceded by freshly baked (still
hot) dinner rolls which were crispy on the outside and tender on
the inside. My wife had the New Your Strip, grilled to perfection,
accompanied by roasted potatoes and a vegetable medley. Our daughter
had chicken nuggets and home made (yes I said home made) potato
chips from the kids menu. I had the homemade Lobster Bisque followed
by made from scratch Jambalaya. I am a sucker for homemade soup
and also for Jambalaya. A good Jambalaya is hard to make, and this
was excellent Jambalaya. Dinner was followed by Barbara’s
signature Apple Torte with vanilla ice cream. Best Apple Torte I
have ever had. It is worth the effort to find Marina Cuisina just
for the desert. All of the flavors were fresh and bountiful.
There
is something very special about a business owner on site. Barbara
visits customers table side and she is obviously proud of her work.
Business
excellent. Comfortable pace. Everyone is welcome. Very family friendly,
great place to bring someone you want to impress. Very genuine.
Plenty of room for wheelchairs, walkers and anyone needing a little
extra space. Tables are nicely placed. Seating is limited. I am
told outdoor seating is available during summer months which often
includes live music.
Employees
are adults. Parking is abundant. Access from Liberty Road is challenging.
Best to enter and leave while heading in a West direction. Turn
around at any nearby light if needed.
Prices
are a little high for Eldersburg but low when you consider the quality
of the food and the service. Good value for the money. Quality is
very high. On average dinner will cost about $20.00 per person plus
drinks. Dinner for two adults and one pre teen child will be about
$50.00.
Cleanliness
is superior. Best in class. Floors, appliances, utensils, counters
and the seating area. All very clean.
Marina
Cuisina is “Good Eats”. Best described as a fine restaurant,
which also offers catering. Check this one out soon. You’ll
be glad you did.

We have visited Marina Cuisina 3X since your review. The food is excellent the the presentation is even better. Service was prompt and the owner visited our table to make sure we enjoyed our dinner. I strongly recommend the Pumpkin Waffles for brunch but everything is delicious.
