3/6/2007 It seems some people have great things to say about Capt Dan's little do they know the owner of Salerno's was the owner of Capt Dan's and sold Dan's not very long ago Any way the employee's are just about the nicest people you would ever meet and the food is great crabs are crabs when they are running good their good when their not their not so good but when you ask them they will tell you honestly how the crabs are... the food is very good and the little bar upstairs is a blast making you feel right at home I would recomend it to any one when you have good food and good prices with a great staff and a fantastic owner how can you go wrong

10/11/2006 Went in August for their crab special (small males for $8 a dozen) the crabs were trash light, and not worth anything. Asked for replacements the reply "we don't replace the special crabs". Don't go there they also steam everything when they get it and reheat it to serve to you. Bottom line don't go there for crabs Capt. Dan's is Much better and not liers.

10/6/2006 Their batter for frying seafood is gritty and bland. Their menu is great but if you want to taste the seafood without the sawdust flavoring, get it broiled. Or better yet go to Captain Dan's for a real good seafood dinner.

Out of the dozen $50.00 crabs that I got, more than half of them were mush. Very bad crabs. They use mustard, alot of mustard in their imperial sause? makes no sense. The only good thing is the Cream of Crab soup and my boyfriend likes the Crabby patty. Other than that, they stink.

Food can be good at times, service is acceptable to good. However, since the staff tends to be younger and have a VERY high turnover rate, food can also be truly bad. If you want reliably great, look elsewhere... but usually fairly ok.
