Santa Arrives From the Second Floor!
Laurie Spindler, owner of the Second Floor Scrapbook Store in Eldersburg, delivers Christmas for those less fortunate. December 21, 2004

When the call went out from the South Carroll Business Association to provide Christmas gifts for 13 individuals with developmental disabilities, Laurie and her staff, husband and mom took on the entire list! They purchased, wrapped and delivered everything on each person’s wish list, and even went back to the stores to make sure everyone was treated equally well.

Debra Langseth, Executive Director of Spectrum Support, Inc. said “I am totally overwhelmed by the obvious joy and thoughtfulness that the folks at Second Floor Scrapbook Store put into buying gifts for the people we support. Thanks to Santa Laurie and her “helpers” the residents will not only have gifts to unwrap on Christmas day, but they will receive exactly what they wanted. How wonderful!”

Participating from Second Floor were Laurie Spindler, her husband Chris, mom Joan Stickline, and staff members Edye Shingley, Monique Dean, and Lisa Castaneda.
