Occupation: I am a registered nurse, but have been
a stay-at-home Mom since 1997.
Short Bio: I
am a Marylander through and through. I grew up in Cecil County on
a small dairy farm. I was active in 4-H from age 9 until I was 18.
The rural lifestyle is in my blood. I even wore the crowns of Cecil
County Farm Queen and Upper Eastern Shore Dairy Princess.
My
husband and I moved here in 1995. I find that Carroll County and
Cecil County have much in common: both counties have agriculture
as their roots. I am glad that Carroll County is making such an
effort to preserve this important part of its history.
My
husband and I have 4 children, ages 5, 7, 8, and 10. Our youngest
will begin kindergarten this week. As my little ones have been becoming
less little, I’ve become increasingly involved in the community.
Along with Cheryle Franceschi, I co-founded Carrolltowne
United, devoted to working with the county and Security Development
Corporation in finding alternative solutions to the housing development
slated for Kali Drive in Eldersburg.
I keep
busy by being on the board of the Harvest Farms HOA, being on the
PTA, being on the board of Freedom Area Citizens Council, and volunteering
for the campaigns of Doug Howard (running for county commissioner)
and Susan Krebs (running as incumbent for state delegate).

and running to all of my children’s practices and scout meetings.
